Encryption Made Easy
Testbed Distribution: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS (lucid)
Installation: Via APT
Version: 2.30.0-0ubuntu2
Description:
Seahorse is a front end for GnuPG - the Gnu Privacy Guard program - that integrates to the GNOME desktop. It is a tool for secure communications and data storage. Data encryption and digital signature creation can easily be performed through a GUI and Key Management operations can easily be carried out through an intuitive interface.

As of GNOME 2.22 GNOME Keyring Manager is deprecated and replaced entirely with Seahorsehttp://library.gnome.org/misc/release-notes/2.22/. It integrates with Nautilus, gedit and Evolution for encryption, decryption and other operations.
This application seems to have been designed primarily for remembering PGP keys and remote server passwords and it does not support different categories in the Passwords secion. Moreover, the for Gnome-keyring password integration add-on is not available for Firefox 3.6.x (as of 0.4)https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/8737/.
